James Calvin Giltz and Marilyn Emma DAVIS |
On April 22, 1950 Marilyn Emma Davis married James Calvin Giltz at The Stone Street Presbyterian Church of Watertown New York.
- Miss Marilyn E. Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mr.s
Clarence M. Davis, 1628 State street, and James C. Giltz, resident at
the Y.M.C.A, and son of Mrs. Ruth Giltz, 224 North Hamilton street, were
married Saturday evening at 7 in the Stone Street Presbyterian church,
Rev. Thomas J. Carlisle, pastor, performed the ceremony.
The couple was attended by Miss Barbara Davis and C.L. Giltz. For the ceremony the bride wore a yellow suit with brown accessories and a corsage of baby orchids. Miss Davis, the maid of honor wore a beige suit with brown accessories and a corsage of sweet peas and talisman roses.
Mr and Mrs. Giltz are now on a trip to Montreal. After May1 they will be at home at 331 South Massey Street.
Mrs. Giltz is a graduate of Watertown High school and is employed by Davis & Company. Mr. Giltz also a Watertown High school graduate, served three and a half years in the army airforce and attended the University of Buffalo. He is now parts manager for W. J. Morrison, farm implement dealer. - Jim enjoyed writing poetry, this is a poem he wrote soon after being married
